Warren Buffett's Preferred High-Yielding 2 Dividend Shares - AbbVie
1-AbbVie
Berkshire launched a position by purchasing about 21.3 million shares in AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) in the third quarter of 2020.
Buffett seems to be getting positive signals from this major drug maker.
Berkshire owned over 25.5 million AbbVie shares at the end of the fourth quarter.
As a dividend share, AbbVie's pedigree is quite impressive. We can call it a Dividend king who has shown dividend increases for 49 consecutive years.
Since leaving Abbott Labs in 2013, AbbVie has increased its dividend share by 225 percent.
Dividend yield is currently around 4.9 percent.
This is one of the most important reasons why many investors like Buffett turn to the pharmaceutical giant.
In addition to large dividend payments, the stock is the only stock among the traded shares that is less than nine times the expected earnings.
The company faced some backlash with the introduction of products similar to its best-selling drug Humira in the US market.
However, the predictions are that the recovery of the company will not take long. The company expects modest revenue growth in 2021, followed by high single digit growth for the next decade.
