Weekend Restrictions In Turkey May Be Lifted On June 1
On June 1, the weekend restrictions in Turkey may be lifted. TURYID Chairman Demirer spoke about the new application.
Kaya Demirer, Chairman of the Tourism Restaurant Investors and Gastronomy Enterprises Association (
TURYID), answered Bloomberg HT's questions about the expectation of gradual normalization across
Turkey on June 1.
Demirer, in his assessment of the expectation of gradual normalization, stated that they heard that the restaurants could serve in open areas until midnight. In addition, Demirer stated that they expect the weekend restrictions to be lifted as of June 1.
Underlining that affordable loans will be very important at the beginning for businesses to continue their operations after the opening, Demirer stated that they demanded the subsidy of the difference between the single digit interest and 17.5 percent from the state.
