While the stocks traded in Borsa Istanbul this week gained an average of 3.00 percent, Euro/TL declined by 1.64%, USD/TL exchange rate dropped by2.51% on a weekly basis, while the selling price of gold depreciated by 0.89 percent. This week, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul saw the lowest 1.394.27 and the highest 1.440.53 points. Following these levels, the BIST 100 index finished the week at 1,434.76 points, gaining 3.00 percent compared to the previous week's closing. The selling price of 24-carat gold bullion, traded in the Grand Bazaar this week, fell to 488.80 TL with a 0.89 percent depreciation, and the selling price of the Republican gold to 3,241.00 TL with a 0.89 percent depreciation. On July 19, the selling price of quarter gold, which was 799.00 TL, decreased to 792.00 TL. The US dollar, which appreciated by 2.51 percent this week, rose to 8,6270 TL, while the Euro increased by 1,64 percent to 10,1610 TL. This week, mutual funds gained 0.71, while private pension funds gained 0.87 percent. Equity Funds were the highest earner among mutual funds with 2.85 percent.
