This week the stock market profited, while gold and foreign currency lost on a weekly basis. Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 4.33 percent on a weekly basis, while the gram sales price of gold fell 2.20 percent, the USD/TL exchange rate decreased 1.39 percent, and the Euro/TL rate decreased 1.35 percent. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index saw the lowest 1,474.76 points and the highest 1,542.75 points. After these levels, the BIST 100 index closed the week at 1,540.61 points, with an increase of 4.33 percent compared to the previous week's close. This week, the selling price per gram of 24-carat gold bullion traded in the Grand Bazaar fell 2.20 percent to 444.00 TL, and the selling price of Republican gold fell by 2.16 percent to 2.946.00 TL. The sales price of the quarter gold, which was 736.00 TL last week, decreased to 720.00 TL. The US dollar, which lost 1.39 percent this week, fell to 7.3280 TL. The Euro decreased by 1.35 percent and fell to 8,9970 TL. This week, mutual funds gained 0.30 percent in value, while private pension funds lost 0.17 percent. On the basis of categories, stock funds earned the most among mutual funds with 1.93 percent.
