This week, the stock market, gold, US dollar and Euro failed to satisfy the investors on a weekly basis. While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 4.47 percent on a weekly basis, the price of gold per gram lost 0.82 percent, USD/TL declined 1.57 percent and Euro/TL lost 1.64 percent. This week, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul saw the lowest 1,431.32 points and the highest 1,560.13 points. After these levels, the BIST 100 index closed the week at 1,473.45 points, down 4.47 percent compared to the previous week's close. This week, the selling price per gram of 24-carat gold bullion, traded in the Grand Bazaar, fell 0.82 percent to 434.60 lira, and the selling price of Republican gold fell to 2.884.00 lira with a 0.83 percent depreciation. The sales price of the quarter gold, which was 710.00 lira last week, decreased to 705.00 lira. The US dollar, which lost 1.57 percent this week, regressed to 7.2950 liras, while the Euro lost 1.64 percent to 8.8660 lira. Mutual funds lost 0.60 percent this week, while private pension funds lost 0.79 percent. On the basis of their categories, among mutual funds, money market funds earned the most with 0.30 percent.
