White House Spokesperson Psaki Commented on Biden And Erdogan

White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki answered the questions of journalists who were on the plane while Joe Biden was traveling from Washington to England.

White House Spokesperson Psaki commented on Biden and Erdogan. Jen Psaki stated that she prioritized meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as part of the first overseas visit of US President Joe Biden, and pointed out that the meeting on June 14 will be "an opportunity for face-to-face diplomacy". Responding to the question of what are the expectations of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Joe Biden, who will meet in Brussels on June 14, Psaki said, "This relationship is one of the areas and opportunities that we feel should continue to work together in a constructive way. A relationship with a NATO partner where we also have areas where we have serious disagreements. This is an opportunity to have face-to-face diplomacy that President Biden feels is important to prioritize bilateral talks during his first overseas visit.” The White House Spokesperson, when asked what issues will be discussed in this meeting, said, "I am sure that they will discuss regional security issues affecting the global community, as well as Kovid-19 and the economy. As the meeting time approaches, we will have more details."
