WisdomTree Applies For Its Ethereum ETF!
WisdomTree applies for its Ethereum ETF, this time to the SEC, following its application for the Bitcoin ETF.
Asset management company WisdomTree has applied for the Ethereum ETF. The company, which previously applied to the
US Securities and Exchange Commission for Bitcoin ETF, this time applied for Ethereum ETF. Thus, the number of Ethereum ETF applicants in the USA increased to two.
WisdomTree has applied for an Ethereum exchange traded fund (ETF), according to official records of the SEC. WisdomTree, which applied to the SEC for a Bitcoin
ETF again in March, became the second company to apply for an Ethereum exchange-traded fund after VanEck.
If the application is accepted, the investors will be able to invest in the leading altcoin without having to buy the Ethereum token directly. This, of course, will make it significantly easier for corporate companies to invest in Ethereum.
WisdomTree Ethereum Trust will be listed on CBOE's BZX Exchange, with the abbreviation to be determined later. According to the SEC's filings, the company currently has not reached an agreement with any cryptocurrency custodian.
While many Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have been accepted in Canada so far, there is no company that has yet been approved for both cryptocurrencies in the USA. However, experts are especially optimistic about Bitcoin ETFs.
