Yellen: We Will Reassign USA's Global Leadership Janet Yellen said, "We will reassign USA’s global leadership", who was elected Treasury Secretary for Biden administration. Janet Yellen, who was elected as Treasury Secretary by US President Joe Biden, spoke at an event in Delaware. Yellen touched on unemployment, food security and reestablishing America's global leadership. "We are in a historical crisis." Pointing out that inequality and low wages, especially for non-university graduates, pose a structural problem, Janet Yellen said: "Inequalities in salary, job opportunities, housing, food security, and mid-scale credit are hampering the asset-building of many different communities." Stating that the economy team will work non-stop to solve all these problems, Yellen underlined that the process of rebuilding the infrastructure and creating new employment targets will be made equally and climate-friendly for everyone. Saying that Biden shares her belief in the American Dream, Yellen said: "We will help reallocate America's global leadership by working in concert with the national security and foreign policy team."
