According to the news that Bloomberg based on sources close to the subject, Didem Nişancı, of Turkish origin, will be the executive asistant manager of
Janet Yellen, who is expected to be the US Treasury Secretary. It was known that when Joe Biden, the President of the USA, will take over the office on January 20, he would appoint Janet Yellen as Secretary of the Treasury. If the appointment is approved by the US Senate, Yellen will be the first woman to be appointed to this post in the country's history.
It was informed that the proposal for this post was taken to Didem Nişancı, global head of public policy at Bloomberg LP, and that Nişancı accepted this duty.
Who is Didem Nişancı?
Didem Nişancı, born on March 9, 1973, studied Economics in the USA between 1991-1995.
Nişancı, who previously worked as a chief of staff at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under former US president Barack Obama, worked for the Promontory Financial Group before moving to Bloomberg in 2018.
