7.37 Percent Raise to Civil Servants and Retirees With the announcement of the consumer price index for December by TURKSTAT, the inflation difference to be received by civil servants and retired civil servants was also determined. Accordingly, a 7.37 percent raise was made for the civil servants and retirees. Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced inflation figures for 2020. Accordingly, the inflation difference to be received by civil servants and retirees in the first half of the year was recorded as 4.37 percent. According to the data announced by TURKSTAT, inflation in the second half of 2020 was 8.37 percent. Within the scope of the collective agreement, the salaries of civil servants and retirees will be increased by 3 percent in January. The inflation difference that occurs after the data is announced will also be reflected in the salaries. Previously, over 4 percent of inflation in the second half of 2020 for the first half of the year was revised to reflect the inflation difference. Civil servants, contractors, temporary personnel and retired civil servants will be able to receive their increased salaries and inflation difference on January 15. Nearly 12 million SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will be paid with a raise in January salaries.
