The company's USB stick-sized device, Fire TV Stick, can connect to the TV via HDMI and to the internet via Wi-Fi. Amazon has achieved more than 100 million Fire TV sales so far. Software and platforms developed for television are among the fastest growing categories in the entertainment industry. According to eMarketer Inc., ads published on these platforms are expected to exceed $4 billion this year.
