BIST 100 Closed the Day With an Increase
BIST 100 closed the day with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.38 percent and finished the day with 1.546.41 points.
At the end of the day, the
BIST 100 index increased by 5.82 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 37.8 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index lost 1.85 percent in value, while the holding index gained 0.02 percent. Among the industry indices, mining was the most profitable with 6.28 percent, while tourism was the most declining with 2.63 percent.
BIST 100 index, which moved positively during the day, tested over 1,560.00 points after the announcement of interest rate decision made by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) and then balanced over 1,545.00 points.
The Monetary Policy Committee of the CBRT decided to keep the policy rate (one-week repo auction rate) constant at 17 percent.
Analysts stated that the reports of the US Federal Reserve's (FED) meeting released yesterday calmed inflationary concerns in the US, although global stock markets are still looking for direction.
Indicating that the international investment position data will be followed in the country tomorrow, analysts reminded that the data agenda, especially the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), which will be announced worldwide, will be monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that 1.570 and 1.582 levels are in the resistance position and 1.525 level is in the support position in the
BIST 100 index.
