BIST 100 Closed the First Business Day With A Decrease
BIST 100 closed the first business day with a decrease. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 0.14 percent and ended the day with 1.540.21 points.
At the end of the day, the
BIST 100 index recorded a 2.23 decrease compared to the previous closing, and the total trading volume was recorded as 32.4 billion liras.
At the close, the banking index lost 2.13 percent, while the holding index fell 0.32 percent. Among the industry indices, electricity was the most profitable with 5.31 percent, while banking was the most declining.
Although the
BIST 100 index, which fluctuated today, tested over 1,560 points, it found a balance over 1,540.00 points with sales following these levels in parallel with the decreases in European stock markets.
Stating that the expectations for stronger financial support packages on a global scale support the stock markets, analysts stated that the number of cases and the increase in the number of deaths along with the tightened restrictions in the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic pressured the rise in the markets.
The analysts said that tomorrow the domestic data agenda seems stagnant, while consumer confidence index, housing price index and Richmond Fed industry index data will be monitored abroad.
On the technical side, analysts stated that 1.525 points are in support and 1.570 points are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
