BIST 100 closed the week with a loss. In
Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index closed the day at 1.524 points with a 1.43 percent loss in value.
On the last trading day of the week at Borsa Istanbul, the
BIST 100 index closed the day at 1.524.49 points, down 1.43 percent.
While the index decreased by 22.11 points compared to its closing on Thursday, the total trading volume was recorded as 31.6 billion liras.
While the banking index lost 2.66 percent, the holding index decreased by 1.19 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 3.95 percent, while banking recorded the highest decline.
Analyzing the issue, analysts stated that in the epidemic, despite the vaccination studies, concerns that coronavirus measures could be tightened due to the increase in the number of cases and deaths worldwide, put pressure on the stock markets on a global scale.
Next week in the country, consumer confidence index and interest rate decision to be announced at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will be monitored, while the European Central Bank (ECB) interest rate decision, growth in China, inflation in the Eurozone, and the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide will be monitored abroad.
