BIST 100 Index Closed Monday with an Increase

BIST 100 index closed Monday with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 1.31 percent in Borsa Istanbul and finished the day with 1,416.30 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 18.30 points compared to the previous close, recorded a total transaction volume of 12.7 billion liras. At the close, the banking index gained 1.27 percent, while the holding index gained 0.87 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 4.63 percent, while the biggest decline was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 0.49 percent. Analysts noted that inflationary concerns remain on the agenda as raw material prices, especially oil, remain high. It was stated that the data agenda will be followed tomorrow, mainly the industrial production index in the country, the ZEW indices in Germany and the number of vacant jobs in the USA. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.370 and 1.355 are in the support position and the level of 1.420 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
