BIST 100 Index Started Tuesday With A Fall

BIST 100 index started Tuesday with a fall on October 12. BIST 100 index lost 0.49 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,409.42 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 6.88 points and 0.49 percent compared to the previous close, dropped to 1,409.42 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.52 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 0.51 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 0,64 percent, while the most decline was recorded on securities investment partnership with 0,80 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul acted with buyers and closed the day at 1,416.30 points with a gain of 1.31 percent. Analysts stated that commodity prices, which have risen to record levels, continue to create inflation pressure on a global basis, and increasing uncertainties negatively affect the stock markets. It was stated that today, the industrial production index in the country, the ZEW indices in Germany and the number of vacant jobs in the USA will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.370 stands out as the support, and the levels of 1.420 and 1.440 are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
