BIST 100 Index Closed The Day With A 2-Month High
BIST 100 index closed the day with a 2-month high. BIST 100 index gained 0.44 percent in Borsa Istanbul and ended the day at 1,461.69 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 6.44 points compared to the previous closing, was 15.2 billion TL. BIST 100 index, which completed the 4th consecutive trading day with a rise, closed its highest since 14 June with 1,461.69 points.
At the closing, the banking index gained 0.88 percent, while the holding index gained 0.86 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest increase was recorded on communication with 1.84 percent, while the most decline was recorded on transportation with 1.32 percent.
Analysts stated that the concerns about the spread of the delta variant in the coronavirus epidemic and the measures taken in parallel with the increase in geopolitical risks originating from Afghanistan continue to suppress the stock markets.
Analysts stated that the macroeconomic data announced today in the USA and Europe continue to give mixed signals and that investors are looking for more clarity on how economic uncertainties will reflect on monetary policies.
While it was stated that Turkish lira assets continued to diverge positively, it was stated that inflation in the Eurozone and England along with the housing data in the USA will be closely monitored tomorrow.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,470 is in the position of resistance and the level of 1,440 stands out as the support for the
BIST 100 index.
