BIST 100 Index Closed the Day with a Decline

BIST 100 index closed the day with a decline. BIST 100 index depreciated by 1.85 percent in Borsa Istanbul and ended the day with 1,410.87 points.

At the beginning of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which recorded a decrease of 26.59 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 16.4 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 2.21 percent, while the holding index lost 0.79 percent. While there were no winners among the sector indices, the biggest decline was recorded on tourism with 3.12 percent. Analysts stated that the interest rate decision to be announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting in the country tomorrow, industrial production, growth in the UK, industrial production in the Eurozone and Producer Price Index data in the USA will be closely monitored. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,440 stands out as the resistance and the level of 1,390 is in a position of support for the BIST 100 index.
