BIST 100 Started Wednesday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Wednesday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.10 percent and started the day with 1,438.92 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.46 points and 0.10 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,438.92 points. At the opening, the banking index and the holding index started the day with a horizontal course. Among the sector indices, textile leather was the highest earner with 0.83 percent, while the most decline was recorded on transportation with 0.61 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a decline, then started to rise with the purchases and finished the day at 1,437.46 points with an increase of 0.34 percent. Analysts stated that after the positive signals about employment, one of the indicators that guide the monetary policy path of the US Federal Reserve (FED), the eyes turned to inflation data and said that the data, which increased by 5.4 percent in June, is expected to decline to 5.3 percent in July. It was stated that the expectations regarding the calendar to be followed for the FED's decrease in asset purchases could be shaped, and that an inflation exceeding the forecast could support the "hawkish" attitude by pushing the tapering calendar forward. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,440 stands out as the resistance and the level of 1,390 is in a position of support for the BIST 100 index.
