BIST 100 Index Closed the Day with a Decrease
BIST 100 index closed the day with a decrease. BIST 100 index depreciated by 0.18 percent in Borsa Istanbul and ended the day with 1,428.13 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which recorded a decrease of 2.59 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 18.2 billion liras.
At the close, the banking index depreciated by 0.12 percent, while the holding index gained 1.36 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 2.85 percent, while the most decline was recorded on electricity with 2.42 percent.
Analysts stated that the higher-than-expected ADP private sector employment data announced in the USA fed inflationary concerns and decreased risk appetite in global markets.
Reminding that the Turkish Economy evaluation of the international credit rating agency Moody's is expected tomorrow, analysts said that the CPI-based real effective exchange rate and the employment report to be announced in the USA will be followed.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.390 is in the support position, and the levels of 1.440 and 1.470 will be followed as resistance for the
BIST 100 index.
