BIST 100 Index Closed the Day with a Fall on September 14
BIST 100 index closed the day with a fall on September 14. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul lost value by 0.27 percent and finished the day at 1.434.43 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which decreased by 3.85 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 12.9 billion TL.
At the close, the banking index gained 0.64 percent, while the holding index lost 0.58 percent. While real estate investment partnership was the highest earner with 0.95 percent among the sector indices, the most decline was recorded on metal main industry with 1.61%.
Recalling that the optimism in the markets was short-lived despite the fact that the inflation data announced in the USA was below expectations, analysts noted that inflation is still at high levels and there are predictions that the US Federal Reserve's "hawkish" monetary policy tonings may not be affected much.
Stating that the central government budget balance in the country, industrial production in the USA, Eurozone and China and inflation in the UK are prominent in the data agenda of tomorrow, the analysts stated that the statements from the European Central Bank officials will also be monitored.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.420 stands out as the support and the level of 1.455 is in a position of resistance for the
BIST 100 index.
