BIST 100 Index Closed the Week with an Increase
BIST 100 index closed the week with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.09 percent and finished the day with 1,392.91 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.27 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 11.6 billion TL.
At the close, the banking index gained 1.56 percent, while the holding index lost 0.31 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest earner was sports with 2.57 percent, while the most decline was recorded on mining with 1.42 percent.
Analysts stated that there was a fluctuating course in the domestic markets due to the concerns about the number of coronavirus cases and the negative course in the global markets.
Next week, the intense data agenda, especially inflation, manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s market participants survey, the Bank of England interest rate decision abroad, the employment report to be announced in the USA, the PMI data to be announced worldwide, will be on the agenda.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.340 stands out as support, and the levels of 1.400 and 1.420 are in the resistance position for the
BIST 100 index.
