BIST 100 Index Started the Week with an Increase
BIST 100 index started the week with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.36 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,397.98 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 5.07 points and 0.36 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,397.98 points.
While the banking index gained 0.58 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.35 percent. Among the sector indices, textile and leather were the highest earners with 0.94 percent, while the most decline was recorded on construction with 0.25 percent.
On Friday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed at 1,392.91 points with a gain of 0.09 percent. On a weekly basis, the BIST 100 index gained 3.06%.
Analysts stated that the positive trend in Turkish lira assets gained strength after the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s (
CBRT) Inflation Report last week, adding that the expectations that monetary policy will remain supportive on a global basis for a while support the stock markets.
It was stated that today, domestic and international manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data will be closely monitored.
In technical terms, analysts stated that if the BIST 100 index is maintained above the level of 1.390, the level of 1.420 will be in the resistance position, and the levels of 1.377 and 1.350 will stand out as support.
