BIST 100 Index Closed Thursday With A Rise
BIST 100 index closed Thursday with a rise. BIST 100 index gained 1.21 percent in Borsa Istanbul and finished the day with 1,372.78 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 16.45 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 11 billion liras.
At the close, the banking index gained 1.48 percent, while the holding index gained 2.04 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 3.22 percent, while the most decline was recorded on securities investment trust with 0.78 percent.
While the
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) decreased the maximum rate of Turkish lira required reserves from 20 percent to 10 percent, it increased the required reserve ratios applied to foreign currency deposits and participation funds by 200 basis points in all maturity brackets. With the changes made, it is expected that the required reserve facilities in Turkish lira will increase by 13.2 billion TL in the first stage, and the required reserve facilities in foreign currency will increase by approximately 2.7 billion dollars.
It was stated that tomorrow, the export figures in the country, the statements of the European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, the employment report to be announced in the USA and the factory orders and the Producer Price Index in the Eurozone will be followed.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,350 stands out as support and the level of 1,390 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
