BIST 100 Started Thursday With An Increase
BIST 100 index started thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.14 percent and opened the day with 1,358.20 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 1.86 points and 0.14 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,358.20 points.
While the banking index gained 0.26 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.42 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the most profitable with 1.87 percent, and the most decline was recorded on securities investment partnership with 1.04%.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul finished the day with 1,356.34 points, depreciating by 1.12 percent after moving with sellers.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) reduced the maximum rate of Turkish lira required reserves to be held in foreign currency from 20 percent to 10 percent, and increased the required reserve ratios applied to foreign currency deposits and participation funds by 200 basis points in all maturity brackets. With the changes made, it is expected that the required reserve facilities in Turkish lira will increase by 13.2 billion TL in the first stage, and the required reserve facilities in foreign currency will increase by approximately 2.7 billion dollars.
Analysts stated that the CBRT's regulation of required reserve ratios is not expected to have a significant impact on the markets, and emphasized that guidance with all kinds of data and words that will give clues in terms of the delta variant of the coronavirus (Covid-19) and the course of monetary policies will remain at the focus of the agenda.
It was stated that, in addition to the Manufacturing Industry Purchasing Managers Index, which will be announced worldwide today, the unemployment rate in the Euro Zone and weekly unemployment applications in the USA will be followed.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,350 stands out as support, while the level of 1,370 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
