BIST 100 Index Closed Tuesday with a Decrease

BIST 100 index closed Tuesday with a decrease. BIST 100 index depreciated by 0.72 percent in Borsa Istanbul and ended the day with 1,382.58 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 10.07 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 12.5 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index lost 0.76 percent and the holding index lost 0.52 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest gainer was recorded as securities investment partnership with 1.67%, and the most decline was recorded on transportation with 1.34 percent. Analysts said that tomorrow, the treasury cash balance in the country, the meeting reports of the US Federal Reserve (FED) abroad and industrial production in Germany will be closely monitored. In addition, it was stated that country and sector-based divergences increased in global stock markets, along with the upward trend in gold and oil prices will be at the focus of the agenda tomorrow. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.400 and 1.440 stand out as resistance, while the level of 1,350 is in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
