BIST 100 Index Closed Tuesday With A Rise

BIST 100 index closed Tuesday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.81 percent and finished the day with 1,409.85 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 11.33 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 13.3 billion TL. At the close, the banking index gained 1.76 percent, while the holding index gained 0.60 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring were the highest earners with 3.61 percent, while most decline was recorded on tourism with 2.86 percent. Analysts stated that the sensitivity of the markets to all kinds of explanations and data has increased and that the volatility experienced in the stock markets may remain on the agenda while the investor expectations are shaping. In this context, analysts stated that FED Chairman Jerome Powell's presentation in the House of Representatives and the verbal guidance of the FED officials will be closely followed. In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.390 and 1.370 are in a position of support and the level of 1.470 stands out as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
