BIST 100 Index Started Wednesday With an Increase
BIST 100 index started Wednesday with an increase. In Borsa Istanbul, BIST 100 index gained 0.40 percent and started the day at 1,415.44 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 5.59 points and 0.40 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,415.44 points.
At the opening, the banking index gained 0.46 percent, while the holding index gained 0.59 percent. While all sector indices gained value, highest increase was recorded on sports with 1.43 percent.

Borsa Istanbul made a lucrative move led by banking stocks, ending the day at 1,409.85 points with an increase of 0.81 percent.
Analysts stated that the messages of the US Federal Reserve (FED) Chairman Jerome Powell on inflation and interest rate hikes were perceived as dovish and supported the stock markets.
It was stated that today, an intense data agenda will be followed, especially the Financial Services Confidence Index in the country and the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide. In addition, it was noted that the statements to be made by FED Board Member Michelle Bowman and FED Boston Chairman Eric Rosengren were also at the center of the agenda.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,400 stand out as support for the BIST 100 index, and if the level of 1,422 is exceeded, the level of 1,430, which also crossed the 100-day moving average, would be followed as resistance.
