BIST 100 Index Started Thursday with an Increase

BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.21% in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,405.26 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 2.91 points and 0.21 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,405.26 points. While the banking index gained 0.37 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.19 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 0.72 percent, while the most decline was recorded on food and beverage with 0.23 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started to lose value after starting the day with a gain in value, and ended the day at 1,402.35 points with a 0.53 percent decrease. Analysts stated that the statements of the US Federal Reserve (FED) officials regarding the timing of inflation and interest rate hikes oscillated between a "dove" and a "hawk" attitude, adding that the ongoing uncertainties due to contradictory statements caused a mixed course in the stock markets. Analysts reminded that the meeting summary of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will be monitored today, and the intense data agenda, especially the interest rate decision of the Bank of England and the growth in the USA, will be closely followed. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.370 stand out as support and the level of 1.420 as resistance if the BIST 100 index closes below 1,400.
