BIST 100 index ends Thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.60 percent and finished the day at 1,410.79 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 8.44 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 11.9 billion liras. At the close, the banking index gained 1.28 percent, while the holding index gained 0.10 percent. While financial leasing and factoring had the highest gains with 2.77 percent among the sector indices, the most decline was recorded on insurance with 0.14 percent. Analysts stated that the statements of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) officials regarding the timing of inflation and interest rate hikes oscillated between a "dove" and a "hawk" attitude, adding that the ongoing uncertainties due to contradictory statements caused a mixed course in the stock markets. Stating that the data agenda is calm in the country tomorrow, personal income and expenditures in the USA and the consumer confidence index of the University of Michigan will be followed abroad, the analysts said that the European Union Leaders' Summit will also continue. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.370 stand out as support and the level of 1.420 as resistance if the BIST 100 index closes below 1,400.
