BIST 100 Index Closed Wednesday with a Rise
BIST 100 index closed Wednesday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.58 percent and closed the day with 1,390.58 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 8.00 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 11.6 billion liras.
At the close, the banking index gained 0.97 percent, while the holding index gained 0.35 percent. Among the sector indices, sports gained the most with 2.74 percent, while the most decline was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 1.47 percent.
Analysts stated that a mixed course was followed with the ongoing volatility in commodity prices in global markets and concerns about the delta variant in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic. While it was stated that the reports of the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) meeting will be followed this evening, it was stated that primarily the decrease in asset purchases, interest rate hikes, inflation and communication with the labor markets will be monitored.
Analysts said that weekly money and bank statistics in the country, weekly unemployment applications in the USA, foreign trade balance in Germany along with the current account balance in Japan will be monitored tomorrow.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.400 and 1.440 are in the resistance position and the level of 1,350 stands out as support for the
BIST 100 index.
