BIST 100 Index Started the Day with a Fall

BIST 100 index started the day with a fall. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul declined by 0.20 percent and started the day with 1,387.74 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost value by 2.84 points and 0.20 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,387.74 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.24 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 0.22 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest gain was recorded on securities investment partnership with 0,61 percent, while the most decline was recorded on real estate investment trust with 0,89 percent. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which acted with buyers yesterday, gained 0.58 percent and finished the day with 1,390.58 points. Analysts stated that the reports of the last meeting of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) published yesterday revealed that the uncertainties about the decrease in asset purchases will occupy the agenda for a long time, even if the asset purchases continue. It was stated that today, weekly money and bank statistics in the country and weekly unemployment applications in the USA will be closely monitored. In technical terms, it was stated that levels of 1.400 and 1.440 are in the resistance position and the level of 1,350 stands out as support for the BIST 100 index.
