BIST 100 index ends the day with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.99 percent in Borsa Istanbul and closed the day with 1,447.08 points.

At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 14.15 points compared to the previous closing, while the total transaction volume was recorded as 14.3 billion liras. At the close, the banking index gained 1.98 percent, while the holding index gained 1.03 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with 2.85 percent gained the most, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 1.19 percent. Over the weekend, analysts said that US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen's statement that "a higher interest rate would be positive for both the US Federal Reserve (Fed) and society" was placed in the focus of the markets. It was stated that the data agenda will be calm in the domestic market tomorrow, while the data agenda will be followed closely abroad, especially the growth in the Eurozone and Japan, ZEW indices in Germany, and the foreign trade balance in the USA. Technically, analysts stated that the level of 1,390 is in the support position and the level of 1.470 stands out as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
