BIST 100 Index Started The Week Horizontally

BIST 100 index started the week horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.07 percent and started the week with 1,433.96 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 1.02 points and 0.07 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,433.96 points. While the banking index gained 0.22 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.18 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 0.85 percent, while the most decline was recoreded on tourism with 0.41 percent. On the last trading day of last week, BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.34 percent and closed the day with 1,432.93 points. Analysts said that a mixed course was followed in the markets after the US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that a higher interest rate would benefit both the US Federal Reserve and the society. It was stated that today, the Treasury cash balance in the country and the investor confidence index data in the Euro Zone will be followed. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,390 is in the support position, and the levels of 1.440 and 1.470 are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
