BIST 100 Index Started The Month With A Fall

BIST 100 index started the month with a fall. BIST 100 index depreciated 0.53 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,398.93 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 7.46 points and 0.53 percent compared to the previous close, dropped to 1,398.93 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.75 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 0.64 percent. Among the sector indices, informatics was the only winner with 0.23 percent, while the most decline was recorded on electricity with 0.86 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul diverged positively from the global stock markets and ended the day with 1,406.39 points with an increase of 1.04 percent. Analysts stated that the stock markets followed a sales-oriented course due to the concerns that the problems in the supply chain and the shrinkage in the energy supply would increase inflationary pressures on a global basis. It was stated that today, the worldwide manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data, personal income and expenditures in the USA, will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.390 and 1.370 stood out as support and the level of 1.420 is in a position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.
