BIST 100 Index Started the Week With a Rise
BIST 100 index started the week with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week at 1,471.61 points with 0.20 percent gain.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 2.93 points and 0.20 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,471.61 points.
While the banking index gained 0.32 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.36 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 1.22 percent, while the highest decline was recorded on trade with 0.23 percent.
In
Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index, which tested the highest level of the last five months with 1,484.95 points, finished the week at 1,468.67 points with an increase of 0.72 percent compared to the previous week's closing.
Analysts stated that global inflationary pressures and data pointing to a slowdown in economic recovery created difficulties in shaping expectations, adding that this situation caused volatility in the markets to continue, while TL assets were positively differentiated due to relatively cheap pricing.
Analysts, who said that this week's eyes were turned to the September meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB), stated that although no change is expected in interest rates and monetary policy, after the decision, ECB President Christine Lagarde's statements will be looked at for clues about the way to be followed in bond purchases.
It was stated that on the first trading day of the week when the US markets were closed, the real effective exchange rate in the country and investor confidence in the Eurozone will be monitored.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.490 is in a resistance position and the level of 1.455 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
