BIST 100 Index Started the Week with an Increase
BIST 100 index started the week with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.24 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,395.16 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 3.30 points and 0.23 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,395.16 points.
While the banking index gained 0.62 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.17 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with 0.64 percent gained the most, while the most decline was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 0.14 percent.
BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed at 1,391.86 points with a decrease of 1.3 percent after fluctuating last week. On a weekly basis, the BIST 100 index gained 0.06 percent.
Analysts stated that the concern that the new variants in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic may affect the economic recovery and the increasing tension between China and India put pressure on the stock markets at the beginning of the new week, and that reaction purchases were seen in the BIST 100 index after the close on Friday.
Underlining that important data on the development of the employment market in the USA, which is frequently pointed out in terms of the timing of the FED's rate hike, will be announced this week, analysts said that today, international reserves and foreign exchange liquidity in the country and the Dallas FED manufacturing index in the USA will be monitored today. In addition, it was stated that the evaluations of
FED New York Chairman John William will be in the focus of investors today.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.390 and 1.370 will be followed as support for the BIST 100 index, and said that the level of 1.420 points stands out as resistance in closings above 1.400 points.
