BIST 100 Index Started This Week Horizontally
BIST 100 index started this week horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.03 percent and started the day with 1,378.63 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 0.35 points and 0.03 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,378.63 points.
While the banking index gained 0.22 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.28 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 2.22 percent, while the most decline was recorded on forest, paper and printing with 0.26 percent.

Borsa Istanbul, which moved with buyers on Friday, gained 0.39 percent and closed the day with 1,378.28 points.
Analysts stated that the increased risk appetite in the global markets on the last trading day of the last week, albeit limited, moved to the new week, and this week, the US Federal Reserve (FED) Chairman Jerome Powell's presentation in the House of Representatives and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's presentation on Wednesday along with its interest rate decision, and the decisions of the Bank of Japan will be monitored on Friday. In addition, it was stated that the macroeconomic data agenda, which will be active as of tomorrow, and the developments regarding the coronavirus epidemic will be in the focus of investors.
In technical terms, it was stated that levels of 1.400 and 1.440 are in the resistance position and the level of 1,350 stands out as support for the BIST 100 index.
