BIST 100 Index Started Thursday Horizontally

BIST 100 index started Thursday horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a sideways movement at 1.519.05 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 0.20 points and 0.01 percent compared to the previous close, dropped to 1,519.05 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.04 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 0.12 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 2.25 percent, while the most decline was recorded on insurance with 0.52 percent. Yesterday, BIST 100 index carried its upward trend for the eighth consecutive day in Borsa Istanbul and closed at 1,519.25 points with an increase of 0.67 percent. Due to the October 29 Republic Day holiday, transactions will be carried out in the stock markets until 12:40 pm. Analysts stated that the profitability of the companies announced for the third quarter was realized above the expectations and noted that the divergences based on shares and sectors in the share markets draw attention. Analysts, who stated that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Inflation Report and Monetary Policy Committee meeting summary will be followed domestically today, said that the intense news and data agenda, especially the growth in the USA and the European Central Bank's interest rate decision, will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.530 stands out as the resistance and the level of 1.480 as the support for the BIST 100 index.
