BIST 100 Index Started Thursday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.72% in Borsa Istanbul and opened the day with 1,370.52 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 9.77 points and 0.72 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,370.52 points. While the banking index gained 0.85 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.71 percent. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing were the highest earners with 1.58 percent, while the most decline was recorded on construction with 0.20 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul acted with limited buyers and closed at 1,360.75 points with a value gain of 0.09 percent. Analysts stated that the US Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decision yesterday and the statements made by Fed Chairman Jerome Powell were described as "more dovish than expectations", and that the possibility of postponing the direction of reducing asset purchases supported the markets. It was stated that today, the Inflation Report and economic confidence index to be announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), growth in the USA and leading inflation in Germany will be closely monitored. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.340 stands out as support, and the level of 1.400 will be viewed as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
