BIST 100 Started Wednesday with a Decrease

BIST 100 started Wednesday with a decrease. BIST 100 index depreciated by 0.06 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,358.79 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost 0.76 points and 0.06 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,358.79 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.08 percent at the opening, the holding index lost value by 0.05 percent. Among the sector indices, textile leather was the highest earner with 0.34 percent, while the most decline was recorded on communication with 0.33 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul diverged positively with the strengthening of reaction purchases and gained 0.77 percent and closed the day with 1,359.55 points. Analysts stated that the US Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decision to be announced today and the statements to be made by FED Chairman Jerome Powell are in the focus of investors. Analysts pointed out that before the FED, the world stock markets were selling, and said that the Fed's interest rates and asset purchase amounts are not expected to change, but the guidance regarding asset purchases may increase the volatility in the markets. It was also stated that today, in addition to the FED's interest rate decision, foreign trade balance in the USA, wholesale stocks data and company financial results will be followed. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.320 stands out as the support and the level of 1.400 is in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
