BIST 100 Index Started Thursday with an Increase

BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase on September 23. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.13 percent and started the day with 1,409.28 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.82 points and 0.13 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,409.28 points. While the banking index gained 0.19 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.18 percent. While insurance was the highest earner with 1.83 percent among the sector indices, most decline was recorded on mining with 0.12 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a buying-heavy course and ended the day at 1,407.46 points with an increase of 1.58 percent. Analysts said today that the interest rate decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has been placed in the focus of investors. Analysts noted that yesterday, after the US Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decision, a purchase-heavy trend was observed in the global stock markets, and that the news flow regarding the current bond payment of the Chinese company Evergrande may increase the volatility in the markets. It was stated that today, the Bank of England's interest rate decision, the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) of the manufacturing industry and services sector on a global basis and weekly unemployment benefit applications in the USA will be closely monitored. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.390 is in a position of support and the level of 1.420 stands out as resistance for the BIST 100 index.
