BIST 100 Index Started Tuesday With a Decrease

BIST 100 index started Tuesday with a decrease. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul lost value by 0.22 percent and started the day with 1,429.51 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost value by 3.10 points and 0.22 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,429.51 points. At the opening, the banking index decreased by 0.04 percent, while the holding index increased by 0.15 percent. Among the sector indices, forest paper printing was the biggest winner with 0.89 percent, while the most decline was recorded on the metal main industry with 1.72 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 1,432.61 points with a 0.15 percent depreciation, acting mainly on sales. Analysts stated that the concerns about the delta variant of the Covid-19 was the main factor that put pressure on the stock markets, and stated that there was a fluctuating course in the stock markets before the inflation data to be announced in the USA tomorrow. In today's data agenda, it was stated that labor force statistics in the country and Zew indices in Germany will be closely monitored. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,440 stands out as resistance and the level of 1,390 is in the position of support for the BIST 100 index.
