BIST 100 index started Wednesday with a fall. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul lost value by 0.08 percent and started the day with 1,441.36 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which lost value by 1.19 points and 0.08 percent compared to the previous close, fell to 1,441.36 points.
While the banking index lost 0.34 percent in the opening, the holding index lost 0.72 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest gain was recorded on trade with 0.55 percent, while the most decline was recorded on holding and investment with 0.72 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul ended the day at 1,442.56 points with a 0.80 percent depreciation after moving with sellers.
Analysts, in the statement published after the NATO meeting, stated that the statements about China reduced the global risk appetite, and that the fluctuation in commodity prices also caused the sector and region-based divergences to increase.
It was stated that today, the housing price index in the country, the US Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decision abroad and the statements of FED Chairman Jerome Powell will be followed. Analysts say that the
FED is not expected to change the policy rate and asset purchase program, which is in the range of 0-0.25 percent, how Powell will interpret the improvement in the labor market and the upward trend in inflation, and the direction of the markets, especially the clues he will give about how long asset purchases will be decisive.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1,440 is in the position of support, and the levels of 1.470 and 1.490 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
