BIST 100 Index Started Wednesday with an Increase

BIST 100 index started Wednesday with an increase on September 22. BIST 100 index gained 0.55 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,393.25 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 7.64 points and 0.55 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,393.25 points. While the banking index gained 0.60 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.55 percent. Among the sector indices, IT was the highest earner with 1.33 percent, while the only decline was recorded on securities investment partnership with 0.01 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a sales-weighted course and closed the day at 1,385.61 points with a decrease of 0.45 percent. Analysts said that the global stock markets are moving with buyers, as the opinion that the Chinese company Evergrande will not affect the financial stability of China and the risk perception that has improved relatively before the US Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decision today. It was stated that today, in addition to the Consumer Confidence Index in the country and the Eurozone, the FED's interest rate decision in the USA, and the press conference of FED Chairman Jerome Powell, second-hand housing sales will be closely monitored. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.405 and 1.413 stood out as resistance and the level of 1,350 is in a position of support for the BIST 100 index.
