BIST 100 Started the Week with a Rise
BIST 100 index started the week with a rise. BIST 100 index gained 0.15% in Borsa Istanbul and started the day with 1,436.85 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 2.09 points and 0.15 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,436.85 points.
While the banking index depreciated by 0.17 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.35 percent. While insurance was the highest earner among the sector indices with 0.85 percent, banking declined the most.
BIST 100 index increased by 0.21 percent after the strong non-farm employment data announced in the USA on Friday and closed at 1,434.76 points. BIST 100 index gained 3 percent on a weekly basis due to positive balance sheets and high global risk appetite.
Analysts said that the inflation data in the USA and Germany, industrial production and foreign trade balance in the Eurozone and growth data in the UK, in addition to the interest rate decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s (CBRT), labor force, industrial production, balance of payments and housing sales statistics will be monitored.
Pointing out that the intense global risk appetite has moved to the new week through Asian stock markets, analysts said that today the real return rates of financial investment instruments in the country, the Eurozone Sentix investor confidence index and the number of open jobs in the USA will be followed by the JOLTS data.
In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.440 and 1.470 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.390 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
