BIST 100 Index Closed the Week With A Rise

BIST 100 index closed the week with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.21% and finished the day at 1,434.76 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 2.99 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 14.9 billion liras. While the banking index depreciated by 0.65 percent at the close, the holding index gained 0.49 percent. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing were the highest earners with 1.26%, while the most decline was recorded on financial leasing and factoring with 2.82 percent. Analysts stated that after the strong employment data announced in the USA, a mixed course was followed in the markets. Analysts stated that the interest rate decision, industrial production, balance of payments and labor statistics to be announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting will be followed in the country next week. It was stated that abroad, intensive data agenda will be followed, especially the inflation to be announced in China, Germany and the USA, and growth in the UK. In technical terms, analysts stated that levels of 1.440 and 1.470 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.390 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
