BIST 100 Started The Week With An Increase
BIST 100 index started the week with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.29% and started the day with 1,355.54 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 3.95 points and 0.29 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,355.54 points.
While the banking index gained 0.20 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.18 percent. While metal goods machinery was the highest earner among the sector indices with 0.55 percent, none of the sector indices lost value.
BIST 100 index was traded until noon last week due to Eid al-Adha and closed at 1,351.59 points with 0.86 percent depreciation.
Analysts stated that the rapidly increasing number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in many countries kept the concerns about the possible closure and its reflections on the economies, and this week, investors focused on the intense data agenda and second-quarter balance sheets, as well as the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision and the third Inflation Report of the year to be announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.
Today, it was stated that the domestic manufacturing industry capacity utilization rate, real sector confidence index and financial services confidence index data will be closely monitored.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.320 is in the support position and the level of 1.400 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
