BIST 100 Started Wednesday With an Increase

BIST 100 started Wednesday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.60 percent and started the day with 1,392.13 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 8.36 points and 0.60 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,392.13 points. While the banking index gained 0.65 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.66 percent. Among the sector indices, communication was the highest earner with 1 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 2,07 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a sales-weighted course and closed the day with a decrease of 0.57 percent at 1,383.77 points. Analysts stated that after the sharp fall in world stock markets yesterday, a mixed course was followed due to increasing inflationary pressures led by problems in the supply chain and energy supply. It was stated that today, in addition to the speeches of the heads of the important central banks on a global basis, the economic confidence index in the country, the Eurozone consumer confidence index and the pending housing sales data in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1,370 and 1.340 are in a position of support and the level of 1.420 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
