British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said, "Britain wants to reach a free trade agreement with the EU."
British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak attended a program at the BBC. Sunak stated during the program that Britain wanted to reach a free trade agreement with the European Union. However, Sunak noted that the economic effects of failure to reach an agreement in the near term will be overshadowed by the coronavirus outbreak.
In response to the question addressed to him, about what would happen if no free trade agreement was reached by 31 December,
Sunak said:
"It is difficult to make definitive judgments about its recent effects."
Rishi Sunak, who used expressions, “But I agree with the prime minister, especially in the short term agreement can be preferred in order to make everything easier.”
“But the thing that will affect our economy the most next year will be the coronavirus, not the deal.”
